The CJF remanufacture process consists of complete disassembly of the unit and its sub-assembled components.

All brackets and major components, (castings, rotors, stators, armatures and coils) are cleaned, degreased and blasted as appropriate.

All bolts, washers, nuts, fixings and springs are electro-plated in our in-house plating plant. All major components are coated in high quality anti tracking lacquer for protection against moisture deterioration.

Strip and Clean

Test and Assembly

At the assembly point, new components are fitted to all units, as follows:

  • · Solenoid Cap and Contacts
  • · Bearings and Bushes
  • · Protective plastic cover
  • · Insulation Papers

Final Quality Tests

Each remaufactured unit is thoroughly tested before being issued to stock with Starter motors are 100% tested for voltage, amperage, rotational torque and solenoid voltage drop, simulating every perceivable demand the unit can expect to undergo when fitted to the vehicle.


New Units

In addition to remanufactured products, the CJF range also includes 15% brand new original equipment and a vast range of units for Far East applications, imported direct from Japan.

When units are packed, each one carries its own unique batch number giving 100% traceability on components and employee activity.
